What Google’s Knowledge Graph Means For The Future Of Search

Introduced in May of 2012, the Google Knowledge Graph is a proprietary system that attempts to understand information on the Web in order to identify and connect facts about people, places, and things. Put simply, it’s a machine that tries to think like a human when it encounters facts on the Internet. If this were a science fiction horror film, it would probably gain sentience in short order and begin systematically taking over the world. Since this isn’t a science fiction horror film, that scenario is unlikely.
